A pugilista Elena Tverdokhleb, 39, da Ucrânia lançou pela rede social Facebook um desafio para a polonesa Agniezka Rylik, 37, na sexta-feira da semana passada.
Tverdokhleb fez uma série de três lutas com a campeã mundial super leve da Associação Mundial de Boxe Myriam Lamare da França, nas quais apesar de perder se mostrou uma forte adversária, reconhecida por sua resitência e pegada.
Entretanto, está afastada dos ringues desde 2005, afinal, não apenas no Brasil o boxe feminino sofre preconceitos, na Ucrânia, mesmo sendo país dos campeões mundiais os irmãos Vitali e Wladimir Klitschko. Conforme Tverdokhleb que entrou no pugilismo profissional em 1997 não há muitos investimentos, portanto, para se sustentar a atleta trabalha no setor jurídico de um cassino além de estudar direito e já obter um mestrado na área.
Agnieszka Rylik começou no profissionalismo em 2000 e conquistou em sua primeira temporada o título super leve da Women's International Boxing Federation (WIBF – Federação Internacional de Boxe Feminino, em tradução livre).
Em 2003 encarou a americana Tracy Byrd e a polonesa conhecida como “Lady Tyson” conheceu sua primeira derrota em uma decisão divida dos árbitros. Depois fez mais quatro lutas e se aposentou no ano seguinte e hoje atua como jogadora de poker profissional, comentarista esportiva e apresentadora de TV.
Uma luta entre ambas poderia movimentar não apenas a carreira delas, mas também o negócio envolvendo o boxe feminino, principalmente se fosse efetivada no país de uma das competidoras ou então na preliminar de algum embate por cinturão de 1ª grandeza.

In friday of last week the ukranian pugilist Elena Tverdokhleb, 39, challenges via Facebook the polish Agniezka Rylik, 37.
Tverdokhleb did in the past a series of three matches with the then superlight weight champion of World Boxing Association Myriam Lamare of France and in those fights besides losing she came out as a strong opposing force and got recognized by her resilience and power.
However she is apart from the boxing game since 2005, because like in Brazil, female boxing suffer from prejudicial behavior and it happens even in Ukraine which is the country of male world champions Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko.
Tverdokhleb became profissional in 1997 but as she affirms female boxing do not florish in her homeland because it is not aimed by investors and then she needs to support herself working as a lawyer in a casino. She is also a rare case in boxing, Tverdokhleb have a Master's degree in Law Studies.
Agnieszka Rylik started as a pro in 2000 and conquered in her first season the superlight weight title of Women's International Boxing Federation (WIBA).
In 2003 faced the american Tracy Byrd and the polish athtlete known as “Lady Tyson” suffered her first defeat as it came by a split decision. Later had 4 more matchs and retired in 2005. Currently she plays poker professionaly and acts ans a sports commentator and TV host in her homeland where she is very popular.
A match between both could not only give a boost to their careers but also to the business of female boxing speacially if it could be done in the country of one of them or as a preliminary of a top of the notch match.
